International Sugar Organization sees India`s 2017/18 Output At 25 Million Tonnes

The International Sugar Organization (ISO) said on Thursday it expects India's sugar output to rise by about 22 percent to 25 million tonnes in the year beginning October, and the world's biggest consumer of the sweetener could export the commodity in 2018/19. China is expected to import 6.1 million tonnes - 6.3 million tonnes of sugar in 2017/18, compared with 6 million tonnes a year ago. He said China will release 1.5 million tonnes of sugar from its state reserves in 2017/18, compared with 1.25 million tonnes a year ago.
