As per latest report from United States Geological Survey (USGS), US domestic primary aluminum production in November 2016 was 61,000 metric tons (t), slightly less than in October and 49% less than that in November 2015. The average daily production in November was 2,050 t, 3% more than the daily production during the preceding month but 49% less than in November 2015. 

Total aluminum recovered from scrap in November 2016 was 305,000 t, unchanged from the amount in October and 15% more than that in November 2015. Of this, 175,000 t of aluminum was recovered from new scrap, 3% more than the amount in the preceding month and 14% more than the amount in November 2015, and 130,000 t was recovered from old scrap, 4% less than the amount in the preceding month but 16% more than the amount in November 2015.
