Physical Rubber prices showed some weakness on Friday. The market was totally in holiday mood prior to Onam. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety fell to Rs 130.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 131/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety remained unchanged at Rs 127/ kg. In the futures market, September delivery dropped to Rs 131.40 compared to its previous closing of Rs 132.10, while October delivery closed at Rs 130.50 compared to its previous close of Rs 131.47 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
