Natural Gas Bears Rule The Roost

Natural gas futures fell during noon trade in the domestic market on Wednesday as investors and speculators exit positions in the energy commodity tracking weakness overseas amid caution ahead of Thursday’s weekly US storage report which may offer cues over the state of demand for the fuel in the world’s biggest gas consuming nation.

Natural gas stockpiles in the US rose by 79 billion cubic feet in the week ended October 7, 2016, the EIA reported last week.

At the MCX, natural gas futures for October 2016 contract is trading at Rs 216.7% mbtu, down by 0.46%, after opening at Rs 217.3, against a previous close of Rs 217.7. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 216.
