The bullion industry had urged the government to reduce the duty to combat smuggling, which has increased since India raised it to 10 percent in August 2013 in an effort to narrow a gaping current account deficit.

रुपये के संदर्भ में भारतीय बास्केट के कच्चे तेल की कीमत गुरुवार को बढ़कर 3634.31 रुपये प्रति बैरल हो गई, जबकि बुधवार को यह 3609.37 रुपये प्रति बैरल था। रुपया गुरुवार को मजबूत होकर 67.01 रुपये प्रति डॉलर के स्तर पर बंद हुआ, जबकि बुधवार को यह 67.31 रुपये प्रति डॉलर था।

At the MCX, silver futures for March 2017 contract is trading at Rs 41850 per kg, down by 0.43 per cent, after opening at Rs 42145, against a previous close of Rs 42031. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 41793.
