Tata Motors’ arm reports 10.9% fall in global sales
Tata Motors’ wholly owned subsidiary -- Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has reported 10.9% fall in global vehicle sales to 43,733 units in January, hit by tough market conditions in China. The JLR sales of the month stood at 12,799 units in January, a decline of 9% over the same month of 2018. However, Land Rover range sales declined 11.6% in January to 30,934 units.
Tata Motors is India’s largest automobile company. Through subsidiaries and associate companies, Tata Motors has operations in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. Among them is Jaguar Land Rover, the business comprising the two iconic British brands.
Aurobindo Pharma surges on the bourses
Aurobindo Pharma is currently trading at Rs. 790.00, up by 11.25 points or 1.44% from its previous closing of Rs. 778.75 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 790.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 790.00 and Rs. 780.50 respectively.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 830.00 on 04-Dec-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 527.05 on 04-Jun-2018.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 804.75 and Rs. 737.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 45627.56 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.87%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.51% and 13.62% respectively.
Aurobindo Pharma has entered into a share subscription agreement to invest Rs 15 crore in Synergy Remedies, a Tirupathi based Pharma Company by subscribing to additional equity shares of the said company. After making the said investment, the Company will be holding 19.9% of the share capital of Synergy.
Aurobindo Pharma is engaged in manufacturing pharmaceutical products. It offers active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates and generic formulations like astemizole, domperidone and omeprazole; anti-infective, oral and sterile antibiotics, pain management and osteoporosis segments.
