Stock Advisory Company, 40% turmeric goes unsold at Erode

Spot turmeric prices showed a mixed trend at Erode markets on Thursday. Only sixty percent of the 4,500 bags that arrived. Regarding the price, the finger variety was up ₹300 a quintal in the Regulated Marketing Committee and ₹100 in the Erode Cooperative Marketing Society.

In these two markets, root variety gained ₹100. But at the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association, both the varieties lost ₹300. At the Regulated Marketing Committee, finger turmeric went for ₹7,189-8,324 a quintal; root variety ₹6,859-7,659. Of the 685 bags on sale, 522 were sold.
