Commodity Tips, Heavy arrivals drag turmeric
Due to the heavy arrival, the price of turmeric decreased on Friday. At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association sales yard, finger turmeric was sold at ₹5,555-8,539 a quintal and root variety at ₹5,100-7,918 a quintal. At the Regulated Marketing Committee, finger turmeric was sold at ₹7,019-8,311 and root variety at ₹6,819-7,820. At the Erode Cooperative Marketing Society, finger turmeric was sold for ₹7,569-8,522 and root variety for ₹6,869-7,799.
