Gold Futures End Lower on Wednesday

Gold futures ended lower on Wednesday despite the US dollar slipped against a basket of major currencies in the wake of the Federal Reserve’s policy statement. Gold futures for August delivery declined $2.70, or 0.2 percent, to settle at $1,249.40 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold was up 1.1 percent at $1,262.11 an ounce.
