Copper futures little changed

Copper futures were little changed during evening trade in the domestic market on Wednesday as investors and speculators trimmed their positions in the industrial metal due to monthly expiry amid a weak trend in base metals overseas. 

 

 Traders indulged in offloading their positions in view of November month expiry amid slackened demand from consuming industries at the domestic spot market, mainly influenced copper prices at futures trade. At the MCX, copper futures for November 2016 contract is trading at Rs 392.45 per kg, down by 0.01 per cent, after opening at Rs 388.10, against a previous close of Rs 392.50. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 384.40.
