Soyabean Market Update

Soyabean on NCDEX settled up by 1.45% at 3851 on reports of lower acreage and heavy rains in soybean producing areas of Madhya Pradesh, which may damage crop. However, falling meal exports and rising cheap soyoil oil imports, capping some gains in soyabean prices. 

 

 Data published by Ministry of Agriculture showed till July 8, total area sown under kharif oilseed crops is 8.228 million hectare compared to 10.115 million hectare reported in the same period a year ago.

 

 Moreover, soybean sowing in Madhya Pradesh, the biggest bean growth state of India, has reported almost 650,000 hectare less soybean sowing area than last year; in Maharashtra, area is 850,000 hectare less than in 2015-16.Moreover, as per the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) weekly export sales report till June 30, around 637,300 tons net sales were reported for 2015-16 which were down by 13% on week and 14% from prior 4-week average.

  1. Soyabean trading range for the day is 3730-3920.            
  2. Total area sown under kharif oilseed crops is 8.228 million hectare compared to 10.115 million hectare reported in the same period a year ago.              
  3. NCDEX accredited warehouses soyabean stocks dropped by 893 tonnes to 18366 tonnes.           
  4. At the Indore spot market in top producer MP, soybean dropped  -29 rupee to 3726 rupee per 100 kgs.
