Agri-Commodity Chana Market Update

 Chana futures for Jun delivery closed 0.82% lower to settle at Rs 5,928 per quintal. However, reports of lower production and expectation of tight supplies in coming months may keep prices higher. 

 

India has imported 9.93 lt of Chana until February in the current financial year (Apr 2015-Feb 2016). In Feb 2016, country imported over 79,000 lt of chana higher than 38,000 tones imports last year in Feb.

In Delhi spot market, chana dropped  by -47.1 rupee to end at 6152.9 rupee per 100 kgs.Technically market is under long liquidation as market has witnessed drop in open interest by -12.64% to settled at 15130 while prices down -49 rupee, now Chana is getting support at 5873 and below same could see a test of 5819 level, And resistance is now likely to be seen at 5990, a move above could see prices testing 6053.
