Indian Overseas Bank falls on reporting net loss of Rs 346.02 crore in Q3

Indian Overseas Bank is currently trading at Rs. 13.60, down by 0.46 points or 3.27% from its previous closing of Rs. 14.06 on the BSE.


The scrip opened at Rs. 14.02 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 14.04 and Rs. 13.60 respectively. So far 6099 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 23.95 on 29-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 11.05 on 08-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 14.49 and Rs. 13.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 8550.06 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 91.99%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.05% and 2.96% respectively.

The Bank has reported a net loss of Rs 346.02 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2018, as compared to the net loss of Rs 971.17 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the total income of the Bank increased by 12.37% at Rs 5688.59 crore for Q3FY19 as compared Rs 5062.38 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

The Bank’s gross NPA for the October-December quarter of the current fiscal increased to 23.76%, as compared to 21.95% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, Bank’s Net NPA stood at 13.56% in Q3FY19.
