According to the State Statistics Committee, cereal and pulse inventories in Ukraine totaled 21.31 MMT as of October 1, 2017, or 14.3% less than at the same time last year (24.87 MMT). As of the reporting date, wheat stocks were down 3.1% year-on-year at 14.03 MMT against 14.48 MMT as of October 1, 2016. Barley inventories were down 30.6% at 2.38 MMT (3.43 MMT was in October 2016). Corn stocks held by growers and processing companies were down 23.4% year-on-year at 3.06 MMT against 3.99 MMT as of October 1, 2016.
