Turmeric futures traded lower on NCDEX despite uptick in demand at the spot market against restricted supplies from the producing regions. The contract for August delivery was trading at Rs 7520.00, down by 0.97% or Rs 74.00 from its previous closing of Rs 7594.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 9640 lots.

The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 7630.00, down by 0.81% or Rs 62.00 from its previous closing of Rs 7692.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 8300 lots on NCDEX.
