Gold Futures End Lower On Monday

Gold futures ended lower on Monday as rising stocks dented the precious metal's safe haven appeal. Though, some losses were capped by a struggling dollar and US economic data that cast doubt on whether the Federal Reserve will raise rates again this year. Gold futures for August delivery declined $1.80, or 0.1 percent, to settle at $1,266.60 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold was down 0.1 percent at $1,267.4 an ounce.
