Soyabean futures traded marginally lower on NCDEX as speculators trimmed their positions due to weak physical demand and reports of monsoon rains may cover soybean belt in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan before the beginning of July. However, slow progress of soybean planting and lower arrivals in physical markets, capped some losses. The contract for July delivery was trading at Rs 2845.00, down by 0.14% or Rs 4.00 from its previous closing of Rs 2849.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 77710 lots.

The contract for August delivery was trading at Rs 2907.00, down by 0.17% or Rs 5.00 from its previous closing of Rs 2912.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 48180 lots on NCDEX.
